Here's a 1990 D penny that I don' know if it' a doubled die or machine doubling. Sorry for the dumb questions but I've only been at this less than a month.
No such thing as a dumb question for those willing to learn. Could you specify where you are seeing doubling? Also, have you tried comparing your coin against any resources?
I don't see any doubling. Someone has good images that they repost all the time. Furryfrog's avatar is a good example of DD too.
Could you get a better photo of the area in question? As Furry frog said these zlincolns are known to be very problematic. They are full of worthless doubling, and most are not errors.

There's a lot of bright reflective light all over the penny. Needs diffusion to soften the light. Such as holding a piece of white paper over the penny to prevent direct, high intensity light to reflect off of it.
