FF hope it keeps up for you, you are in a nice silver vein and love seeing the pictures keeps me motivated, I miss those kinds of numbers. My first two years were wonderful and its slowed down a lot. I still believe I will hit another monster box if I just continue searching. Only time will tell!

I'm still waiting for my first "real" monster box. I was surprised that out of everything pulled this week, most of it came from a box with no enders. The 2 boxes with enders didn't produce many at all.

Maybe some might do a video opening SEALED boxes, and post these spectacular results?

Just curious, but you seem to doubt peoples' finds on here.

EDIT - Am I the only one who would be bored out of their mind watching someone unwrap a box of coins? I'd rather be unrwapping :)

@Sam Carter. Sam, you are a beast to do 16 boxes a week! :greedy: Tip ‘o the hat to ya! BTW, I enjoyed looking at your spreadsheet s few days ago on the Success Rate posting. You’re stacking some serious silver this year! I’m more like a 1-2 boxes per week when I’m not taking a break from halves. Silver success rate at 0.81% for the 1-1/4 yrs I’ve been doing this. But, it’s the big hauls that come along that make you feel like a kid on Christmas Day! Keep on going! ;)

Good idea SS! Mine does kind of look like yours. But, mine weighed low at 10.66 gms vs. the normal 11.34 gms and the reeding is entirely gone, so I attribute it to lots of wear. :wacky:

Do you mind me asking where all the money comes from. Especially for your age. Also do you dump all at different banks?

Busy day! only time for 1 box = 1 1964 Roosevelt. Not worth a picture, but I'm always grateful to find Ag.

You have any luck with half dollars (silver)? I quit some time ago as it eventually became fruitless (although great at first). Considering doing it again but I'd think the silver has all but been pulled by now (or most of it anyway). Used to find much silver a few years back. Just curious.

When I signed up I made a mistake in the year of my birthdate, I was born in 1963. So that should answer that question, I'm not 15. I dump all the halfs at my credit unions coinstar, they don't charge fees for members.

Some people have money $8,000 to carry back and forth weekly.

    But TIME? That's 16,000 Halves. ~170 hrs/week, x 60 = 10k minutes / week.

Amazing. Gotta' take lotsa' coffee to do that...

Not sure I get your math...If I am just edge searching halves I can get through my paltry 3k a week in a bit over an hour.

Just scroll back a little. You'll see that you don't have to get the math. You might see a post sticking out, analogous to an edge search, to which the math DOES apply ;)

Nope still don't see what kind of point you are trying to make. Perhaps it is because I haven't had my morning infusion of caffeine.

Ok here is my weekly routine:
first, All my pick up banks and Dump credit unions(2) are in a five mile radius of my office. I use three PNC branches to pick up. Tuesday I pick up at two locations as long as I'm in town. One branch I order $3k the other $2K, (I don't want to be an over burden to one single branch). I sort through the $2K pick up during my lunch hour. Remember I am only looking for silver or proofs or edges that indicate a NIFC etc. so I am not looking through for Mint errors etc. I dump the $2k, Credit union is across the street from the PNC. Redeposit the $2k and withdraw $3k for pick up in the afternoon. Search the $3k at home and dump before work on Wednesday. Pick up from PNC #3 at lunch on Wednesday and search at home and dump on Thursday morning. All in all I spend 6-8 hours a week in the routine.

Does it get old? Yes, especially when I'm in a skunk streak like now, On a 33 box streak, Ugg. but not so much when I hit a silver vein in a group of boxes.

I'm not sure why @nuMRmatist has such a bug up his/her butt about other peoples' searching habits.
