You don't need a poll for these type of threads.
It is only stained not an error,
    This is considered PMD.

Sorry but you have nothing but a stained coin. It's worth 25 cents.

Clearly you didn't need a tread then when your mind is already made up. Send it in for grading and I guess we will see whose right

Yet the title of this very thread is...

"Just started collecting coins last week. Newbie"

I understand that there's all sort of confusing information as well as straight misinformation out there, and also that it's perfectly human to see what we want to, but in this case I hope you'll step back and take an objective look upon the situation. Simply ask yourself which is more likely: that you're misinterpreting what you see due to being new and unfamiliar, or that the knowledge folks are misinterpreting due to the less than ideal yet almost certainly sufficient photos.

Please understand that there's a very good reason such "fantastical errors" just happen to appear on damaged coins. Embracing the basic principle behind Occam's Razor will serve you well in this hobby, sir.

    Welcome to the forum.

Wow! I wish I had been able to detect a double die obverse when I had only been collecting only one week. I'd have been even happier had I been able to detect a doubled die obverse, nevermind a reverse. Heck, I'd even have been happy had I even known what the term meant!

A well circulated quarter from 1965. Nothing special.

I remember him and would appreciate it if you would post a link to his channel. I just checked and could find nothing directly related to coins or a 65 quarter.

If you want to collect coins, do yourself a huge favor and stay away from YouTube videos on the subject. Another good thing to ignore: the clickbait articles on the Web about “finding big bucks in your pocket change” and the like.
