if it wasn't a great coin it would not be in a plastic holder. pcgs is the best tpg and only puts their label on the best coins.
Remember, TPGs are supposed to use both grading methods, Technical and Market, then insert eye-appeal into the equation. To me, it looks like they forget the EYE-APPEAL aspect...
It's clear that you are not a fan of NCS. That's fine. It's also clear that you are equating a coin that is at the extreme end of the cleaned, yet still slabable scale, and trying to imply that this is the type of work that NCS does. That's not fine. I've never seen a coin come out of NCS looking like that. While they will make many coins blast white if the submitter desires, I've yet to see them do that to any coinage this old or this well circulated.
no, an expert would recognize it for what it is, but it will be (generally) more market acceptable, and as such it will be considered by most to be more pleasing (read as "valuable") than it was prior to conservation.
