Yesterday picked up $200 CWR halves and $350 CWRs small dollars at the same bank here in my Mom’s city. Must have been from the same person due to the unique “dot” he marked the wrappers with. He didn’t search them very well:pompous:

  6. Been awhile. Going thru some nickel rolls I found:
    2-1939's
    1-1940S
    1-1943P
I also have a couple of 2005 D nickels that appear to be toned. Hard to get a good pic of them. The toning appears to be a gold base. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

$625 in small dollar CWRs & MWRs gave up some interesting coins today. Here’s a pic of some of the more uncommon ones, including two Sac impaired proofs and my first 2018-D Apostle Islands Parks quarter gotten in change. Plus a 1981-P SBA. Funny looking lot! :wacky:

Better than the $450 small dollars I did this afternoon. Only things of note were a Canada Loonie and a car wash token :p

Must be swell to play with halves.
But pennies it is to me.
Sold my box. Got a MWR box in white wrappers not marked.
Through 5 rolls the copper pickins are a little slim and for the most part going back into the wild.
If anything magic shows up I'll post a picture.

Nothing wrong with searching cents. They are my favorite to search through (when I'm not getting solid date boxes). I've found some really great stuff there.

Going through $350 CWRs that were sold to me as coming “from the Fed”. Got them to the car found each one had been searched and taped back together very covertly after one end had been sliced open. Oh well, halfway through and found 1 NIFC. I did find this very worn down clad 19?6-D. It is worn nearly smooth on the reverse. I’ve never seen this much wear on a Kennedy!

Maybe it's a combination of wear and a weak strike? Here is a photo of one I think is a weak strike. Weight was right.

I broke my hand cart today. Apparently 100,000 cents was too much for it. I might buy new wheels for it. I think it would still work with a small change. One of the tellers told me I’m quickly becoming his favorite customer; shout out to my wife for baking brownies. It took a while to dump so many coins. I found a lot of wheat cents that nun ryedale sorter doesn’t seem to recognize as having the same copper content as the 1970s cent i have as the base coin. I haven’t photographed it yet, but I found my first off-center strike (5% or so, but discernible). Otherwise, here are rejects and coins i fished out as I dumped. The British coins in there were in the reject tray when I arrived. No complaints there. :)
