Yeah, some will say .. "what's a double die"? as proper terminology is "Doubled Die" .. unless your keyboard doeesnt wok. need pictures.
The correct Numismatic Terminology is Doubled Die... not double die 2000 Cents are Copper Plated Zinc.. You most likely have Die Deterioration Doubling @Clawcoins you beat me to it
Ok im new at this and got a ways to go. Helping me get there is the better way to go. I dont think you want to be like some other coin blogs in the community and make people feel edited
And mistakes will be made along the way. I just hope that mistakes are welcomed as learning topics. Any way i will post the pictures of the 2000D lincoln penny shortly. Im a little slow at the camera.
Buddy... no need for that type of response! I gave you a good answer without seeing your Cent. So please don't feel they way you do. Do you have a picture or not?
I see no discouraging remarks here, only those trying to help and teach. We will help those that want to learn, but you have to want to take replies from those willing to reply and answer your questions.
Understood! I just stopped viewing a sight resently! My very first post regarding coins, my first post on that sight, made an error and several chimmed in commenting the error rather then providing a simply explaination to over come the error. I was just making a point. Some people can take offense and assume it was a negitive response. I spent several years in a training envioment that helped the national company win the top customer service award and held it for several consectutive years. That was my second ever post regarding coins and my first post on your site. I would rather see mistakes welcomed and handled proactively myself. So i thank you for your response and it is taken respective ly.
Here is a table view. Showing how how much the center is pressed inwords from the odverse to reverse.
Not too long ago I was also attempting to post threads and photos and during the entire time EVERYONE tried to help me get started...I was just too DUMB to stop and read what was being sent to me and finally with the help of several members I was able to get it done. The blame for the problems was mine and NO-ONE else's, not even my best DOG BUD, so I THANKED everyone who helped me....Could be that you may want to retract that comment and ask for some help...It is there and best of all it is FREE and you will be better off for asking for it. Thanks friend <-Bud is here to help
2 suggestions: learn how to post a close-up and tell us where you think the doubling is. The coin has been around the block a few times, environmental damage was mentioned earlier, but you gotta help yourself before we can advise you...Spark
