Hello just starting with searching penny rolls and came across this 1994 D penny where the D mint Mark and date appear doubled slightly. What are some oppinions on it? Is it a double die?
You have a case of split plate doubling there. The plating has shifted exposing the zinc core underneath. Not an error. Definitely a spender.
