Here's a hint on the 1970-S Small Date. Look at the word LIBERTY, it's a lot weaker (esp. on the letter tops) than on the Large Dates. I believe Rick Snow of Eagle Eye Rare Coins was the first to make that observation, not sure.

    Kind regards,

    George

I never took the time to look for minor varieties, I really only do the larger naked eye type errors

The 1970-S Small Dates are naked-eye errors if your eyes know what they're looking at.

    Kind regards, :)

Here's one way I decide if it's minor - Is it in the Dansco album? The 1970-S small date IS. About 95% of the stuff people show here is not.

I once bought a complete cents dansco from a dealer and neither of us realized at the time that the person put a large date in the small date slot

    Pretty typical, actually.

The dealer probably knew... and was probably hoping someone would buy without noticing.
