Do I have an environmental damaged bicentennial half dollar?

    Or the big one? I never saw a coin with its clad missing.

    Not sure what the "big one" is?
    Also, your coin is just damaged.

    Missing clad is almost always on one side only.
    And there is some kind of marker on the rim that identifies it as well.
    I will have to look that one up again.

    There is something I can look for that will set a missing clad coin apart from others ?

    They are quite rare, but generally it will only be missing clad on one side.
    And even in those cases, usually someone has machined it off.
    I forget what the rim marker was, but it was a way to tell a genuine missing clad layer from the others that were environmentally damaged, or post mint damaged.

    Your Kennedy Half is all Environmental Damage. The Clad layer has changed color due to reaction to it being buried in dirt, soil or sand.
    Not a Mint Error.. That simple.
