    Is there a certain lighting to check pennies under? Or angle?

    Take a look at my avatar. That is what a doubled die looks like. Though that is one of the stronger Lincoln doubled dies.

    Out of the other 7 varieties
    the 1982 small date Philly zinc and
    the 1982 small date Philly copper have some value in high grades.

    He said "some value in high grades". You don't have high grade coins I suspect.

    Yes, in mint state these are perhaps .80 cents and .50 cents.
    But mint state is really, really brand new nice.
    I still need the 1982 SD Philly zinc.

    That is certainly a big plus, but please understand that you're going to have to put in the effort to educate yourself.

    Please consider spending at least a few hours on http://doubleddie.com/
    reading up on how dies are made, the minting process, worthless doubling, what constitutes a doubled die, etc, etc, and then come to the board with what remaining questions you may have.
