That is a beautiful coin. I think it could go up a grade, it appears flawless.:thumb:

I love the SLQ but only own a few nice ones for type sets, not as nice as yours though, too pricey to even begin collecting for me.

Wow, stuuuuuuning! Very nice man! Looks like an easy 65/66, but I am no pro at grading SLQ. But, it is a very beautiful coin to say the least. Nice man. :thumb:

I can't answer your question, but if I may be permitted to go slightly off topic:

    1. What years were the chain mail years?
    2. Does FH stand for full head and if so what is used to determine fullness?
    3. I notice some rivets missing from the shield, is this common for this year?
    4. What all goes into grading SLQ's and how much does it vary by year/MM?

    Nice Coin!

I would definitely say that it is a PQ coin. I believe the reason it is graded a 64 is due to the very light rub on the leg.

    Beautiful coin. Love 'em.

I think the soft detail on the shield might be what cost it a 65 - no rivets in it's lower left corner. Who knows... might bump up. Personally, I doubt it.

    Great luster !

Is that $595, $695 or $895 on the price tag?

    1) 1917 to 1930
    2) FH= Full Head, fullness is determined by strike, including seeing the ear hole etc. Better to reference SLQ books for detailed info.
    3) Rivets missing? Common for many years.
    4) Wow! What a wide open question. And a subject of a book.

    Spock: Go for the upgrade.

How about editing the title of the thread, I keep expecting to see a half dollar.
    How about: Standing Lib Quarter.

Very pretty. Tough to say from pics if the coin will upgrade, but chances are it won't.

Regardless, a very neat coin & thanks for sharing...Mike
