    In another forum I wrote how I really like the 1934 and 1934-D issues. They have that enormous D mintmark punch so close to the date, and it is emphasized by its proximity to the one-year-only-style 3 digit with that long descender, a style that would not reappear until the famous 1943 cents.

    Here are 1933 and 1934 cents for comparison.

    And they can be acquired at a reasonable price and can be quite beautiful. That’s a lot to like.
