I have a 2001 Nickel, II would like someone to look at it and tell me if this is an error on the coin and what it may possible be worth if any? Wanna know more about it, if it is an error ,what would it be called. I haven't seen any like this. IMG_20180413_111733.jpg IMG_20180413_111721.jpg IMG_20180413_111721.jpg

Not an error - looks like it's been rubbed with an abrasive scrubbing pad - if it will brighten the bottom of a crusty frying pan, it will also 'brighten' coins

If you like it, you can always save it since you only have .05 cents invested in it.
It most likely is only worth 5 cents and will never be worth more than that.
I doubt this kind of appearance happened at the mint. If it did, it would be a known entity and have a name and an explanation for how it got that way.
But I have been wrong before. If everyone says it's damaged, and worth a nickel,
then it's not an error. True mint errors are rare. And they are rare to find in circulation. I have found a few. Minor things, and this is after handling millions of coins.

Pictures aren't the best, what does it weigh? Slight chance it may be struck on a thin planchet.

4.8 g is just a HAIR outside mint tolerance range. The amount out of tolerance is so small it will not demand any premium.
