GTG: 1835 Capped Bust Half Dollar

    I would not think that is the best idea in this case. The price difference between an XF 40 and and AU 50 isn't too significant (around $100 based on recent sales). Plus the OGH already has a built in premium that would likely help sell the coin above typical XF 40 prices. Finally, as @V. Kurt Bellman mentioned, this coin appears to have had a cleaning in its distant past. I wouldn't bet on PCGS or NGC straight grading that coin now if it was submitted raw.

    I was at 50. I’d keep it in the green holder. I don’t think the surfaces would cac either. So best left as is. They may have net graded it due to surfaces too

    I hope your right. An AU sticker would go nicely with your others. You do have some great coins. I can only wish that this year when i plant. I find something lower then 1910. My oldest coin

    I would have guessed XF details, but we were told it received a numeric grade. It’s certainly not an AU coin, so 40/45 were the only options left.

    I was at 50 and was scrolling down when I saw the reveal. I’d send it in, too.
