So I posted this a little while back in the "Let's see your newest acquisitions!" thread. I'd like to get a feel for what some of you classic commemorative collectors would grade it. It's a raw 1936-S Oregon Trail Commemorative Half Dollar.

I'm posting this because @Beefer518 has been doing a lot of GTG on his classic comemm's and I seem to be under grading them. So he has inspired me to see what you all think.

Looks really nice to me. Easily a 65, IMO.

It looks very much like the one I used to own except that yours is missing the rainbow toning along the rim.........MS67!

I would say anything less than MS 65 would be harsh from a TPG.
My guess would be MS 66 as I see strong luster and no major marks/hits.

It sounds about in line for what I was thinking. The luster is very strong and the surfaces nearly perfect and the strike is solid. It drew me in when I first saw it. I paid $190.00 for it, which I think is around 63 64 money.

I have one of these, not as nice as yours. Love it's design.
    Congrats on it.

Great luster, no wear, no significant marks.
What a beautiful coin! Just a great design - one of my favorites.

Yep! James Earle Fraser and his wife, Laura Gardin Fraser, made this one of the most beautiful commemoratives of the period.

BTW, I was really tempted to say 67, but I'm sticking with 66.
