We all use what we first learned when shopping. I know the key pick up points the old ways. I can add one grade to approximate the new grades. It's just a rule of thumb. I never slab coins although I have some. Under graded coins are sometimes bargains. Common coins are never bargains unless they are plucked at face value. I predict that the 70 point system currently used will someday be replaced with a one hundred point system which will force everyone who likes slabs to get their coins re-graded at additional expense. Studebakers are very popular where I live and a restored one could easily fetch many good coins. Weak strikes may be ignored by the "professionals". To me if it ain't there it ain't there.
Actually Harley, ummm, no. SOME OF US venture to assiduously stay up to date with the industry, even though our age ALSO begins with a 6. Jus’ sayin’.
