I was just going through a box of pennies I got from a bank today, and found my first ih cent. It’s from 1907 and it’s not in that bad of shape for being over 100 years old. I also found two proof cents - 1977 and 2007 in the same box. Guess today is my lucky day. Has anyone else found Indian Heads in Loomis rolls?
Nice find I found one yesterday. My 17th out of over $15k worth of cents searched. I search Loomis rolls almost exclusively.
Cool. My regular bank only carries Loomis trolls. When I am bored of going through those, I go and get brown, generic ones from another nearby bank. I’ve gotten nice coins from both places.
I’m not kidding. I was finishing opening up the last few rolls from this same box tonight, and found ANOTHER ih cent. What are the chances of that!?...especially in the same box. Here is a photo of it along with some other ‘goodies’ I found in the same roll. I am really excited about this as you can probably tell.
My first and 2nd IHC were in the same box too. Never got lucky like that again though. Enjoy it while you can haha.
I just opened the last roll out of the box...and inside was another ih cent! This time, 1908. I guess somebody dumped their collection accidentally or someone inherited a bunch of them and dumped them. I’m happy - 3 new ih cents to add to my collection. This was the best box I ever went through.
I found a bunch in a roll and one yesterday and here it is 1901,this box I'm going through it the best I've ever gone through.lots of nice pieces.
I average 3 or 4 Canadian cents per box I search. But one box a few months back had nearly 50 in it! I can only conclude that box came from a processing center much farther north near the border.
I average 3-5 canadian cents per box. I've managed to fill out almost an entire Canadian small cent run from 1920-2012. Now I'm sitting on over $25 f/v worth of Canadian cents. Not sure what to do with them
I pulled 5 out of the same roll today,I haven't counted the total for the box yet but I average 8 to 10 a box. Also 4 rolls had 2 wheats apiece I've never had that many with 2 in a box.
Don't spend them. The Canadian mint is melting Canadian pennies now, so who knows if they could be valuable some day.
