I agree that they may not be 'traditional' portraits of eagles (especially the Bridgeport), but they each give a unique and new take on the eagle. I could imagine being one of the artists thinking "How can I get my eagle to stand out from all the others", and I appreciate each one of those artists representations. And you have to admit the eagle on the Arkansas series is pretty cool looking.
This is my personal second favorite eagle. My favorite? This design should have been kept on the seated dollar and $10 eagle.
Some of my favorites. I also like eagle on the St. Gaudens double eagle reverse. 1904 MS64 CAC reverse by jpcienkus posted Jan 16, 2018 at 9:45 PM 1927 MS64 reverse by jpcienkus posted Feb 16, 2018 at 7:57 PM 1941 PF67 reverse by jpcienkus posted Mar 15, 2018 at 8:44 PM 1910 reverse by jpcienkus posted Apr 1, 2018 at 1:27 AM 1898 reverse by jpcienkus posted Apr 1, 2018 at 1:27 AM
