Thats great Cheryl... I always say the Canadian cents are great to collect. Lot's of coin for the money and a set you can complete with a moderate amount of $$$. Thanks for sharing !!!
I like the Canadian large cents as well Cheryl. Bought about 30 of them a few years ago for a quarter each. Didn't need them and wasn't looking for them but what the heck the price was right. What's odd to me is how thin they are.
Thanks you. The funny part about this is :secret:I am from Minnesota and my husband is from Connecticut. I have been in texas for over 30 years and Steve been here for 12 years. We have been married for a little over four years now and the coins moved with us , at different times. Thank You'll Cheryl
Cheryl...I grew up in Detroit, right across the river from Canada and used to get Canadian small cents all the time, and it just grew into a collection. Since moving to AZ 15 years ago, I started with the large Canadian cents as well.
My Large Penny Hoarde that I bought Here is about 220 Candian Large cents that I recently purchased. Dates range from 1859 to 1920.
Hah.... Yeah the tray was all I could find when I was taking them out of the containers they were in. I wanted to lay them all out and get a good look at them. Some have some old pvc greenies on them so they will go into an acetone soak to get that off of them. After that I will be assembling my top picks from this lot and then selling the rest as sets or lots. Thanks for the nice comments! Todd
