1969 S Doubled Die ?

This has doubling some of which does not appear to be flat and shelf like (MD) . Both S in states have split serifs, Liberty, IGWT all show doubling. The Memorial has some stuff going on as well. Please let me know what you guys think !

Actually, the doubling on your coin (MD) is an excellent example of how "flat and shelf-llike" doubling looks. I think you should put it in a 2x2 and keep it for reference.

 

The search function at the top, right of the page reveals that there are fifty-six listings for "1969S Doubled Die".

I could use one of those about now. Sitting all day in a foreign language class and my brain is hurting. Usually helps the language learning process to "grease the skids" so to speak

 

As if reasonable and/or factual answers are always sufficient. How many times have we seen threads where everything short drawing a pretty picture with crayons was done to help someone, and still they go off on a tirade accusing the membership of being comprised of the jealous, or idiots, or worse?

Newbie strikes me as a perfectly reasonable fellow, but we all know this is far from the norm.

That said, there is at least one other 69-S DDO known, yet this is very rarely mentioned in such threads. From the photos I see nothing suggesting even the possibility, but is something the OP may want to look into, even if only for the educational experience. Good luck.

Well I certainly hope I haven't done anything wrong here! Just curious on this one as I have been with other coins! I know this stuff becomes redundant for you guys and I apologize for that on my part.. At this point I wish there was a way to delete a thread !
