Scratch at 8:00 on the obverse is on the slab.

 

Whats the grade. Looks like an NGC Holder. Is it MS66, 65 or 64????
Anyway, very nice morgan

 

Hard to tell exactly. I'm on the MS-63/64 fence.

PS: I think the pictures aren’t good enough to guess a grade, so I’ll not participate this time.

 

Her cheek is blurry. I'd like to get a closer look at the surface disruptions. They don't look bad in the pics. I'll guess 64.

I figured nobody would guess it lol. I mean that in a positive way. How they couldn't at least grade this ms 63, is truly beyond me. Oh well. It's still a nice coin to fill my 1900 spot. It will probably get resubmitted.

 

My experience with MS62 Morgans that don't look like were in a bar fight (lots and lots of contact marks) is that there's very little if any luster on the coin. I don't know if this applies to your coin due to the pics, but I'm just sharing my experience.

 

There's a little chatter on left side of the obverse. That's about it. The strike and luster are 63-64ish. The reverse is very nice. I would grade it 64-65 PL. I don't get this one? I really don't? We'll see what happens, when I resubmit it to PCGS most likely?
