Congrats on the two nickel finds, Nolan! I happen to have both of those coins, although the Buff I got from my Mom (Dad's collection) and the Jeff I found many years ago when I was a kid. Good job finding them in the wild today!

Thanks, Wells has some good machine wrapped rolls as they come from Phoenix, a hundred miles south, and the local banks don't sort and machine wrap in house, so they come out of a large population.

Could you put that 1938 S back into circulation so that I might find it??? Still haven't found one in about $4,000 worth of coins searched.

I have found a few of the '38's, but this is the first S. I can make it worse, I got mail from my cousin who started me in coin searching, he told me his boss found out he was a coin hunter and that he had a batch of nickels his children didn't want to mess with, so he sold them to my cousin...1000 Buffalo and War nickels at face value; my cousin paid him $100. I don't know how many of each type or dates or condition, but I am green with envy. One was a 1920's Hobo nickel.

I am going to, in the coming days, impress on my cousin the joy of sharing. The seller was in his 80's and had collected all his life and tried to get his kids or grand kids interested and they weren't, so he found someone who would appreciate them.

Here is my best Buffalo nickel find for my first year roll hunting, that ended last month. It is a '38 D with an rpm. 38DRPM.jpg 38drpm1.jpg IS_67.jpg
