ok... so i've been a coin collecter for a while, but currency never really interested me... UNTIL NOW! My grandpa gave me about 15 silver certificates, all worn, but WOW! I just love them! They are so cool.

So now im hooked, and I want to give in to the addiction to paper :D.

Where should I start? What is a relatively cheap series that is still old that I can collect? What books should I buy?

    Thanks

well, $1 silver certs from the 30's and 50's in cirulated condition are still real cheap compared to alot of other older paper. i think you can get them for around $3 each on Ebay in larger lots. after that, and the prices start going up. one thing i like to do, is i look at my Black book on United States currency, they give prices from below poor to unc. its a book, so given the prices are out fo date, but in the low end, prices dont move alot over shorter periods of time. So, in essance, can give you ideas on some notes that are relatively inexpensive.

    good luck!
