It looks to be worn and a beautiful AU-58, but I suspect the coin is lightly struck and therefore a MS-63.

Man, very nice coin clembo. :thumb: I am not really that well at determining weak strikes from wear, but if it is wear then AU-58, if not, MS-64 is my opinion. Either way nice coin man. :thumb:

I'm guessing AU but it could be my eyes & monitor ...

Yes these are known for being lightly struck. But there is an apparent lack of luster on the high points which would make me say AU.

Interesting, don't recall ever hearing of them.

I don't even consider it a slab. It's in a "fold out" holder

I consider it a "fly by night" company that "certified" this coin to be an ACTUAL Morgan Dollar.

You might also notice that the address is a suite. That always boosts my confidence. LOL

Decent coin and it was cheap.

The New Orleans coins were definitely known for light strikes, which yours has. There is a big hit on the reverse. I would guess MS62 - 63. Nice coin!

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

64 if the luster is all there, and I suspect the photo is in fact a scan and the luster is much better.
