Penny is thinner than normal penny. Sounds different when dropped compared to normal penny when dropped.. penny made of different metal? Maybe it sounds different from wear and tear? the back of the coin smashed or a error? insight needed.
We need photos in order to provide insight. Both sides and the edge. Straight on, in focus, and well cropped.
Looks to be a normal copper Cent struck on a Rolled Thin Planchet. Missing letters on Reverse is just a worn die issue. Struck through grease. Nothing major.
