I know almost nothing about US paper money and I am looking for more info about them. I found some very nice $100's from the local bank. The oldest was a series 1971, in almost new condition. It came with a group of about 6 others, all from the 70's. All pretty much new. Very odd.

Basically what is it that I need to look for in these?

    Cheers,
    David

    David,

Of course (and get ready for it) pics would help.

Also full serial numbers including prefix and suffix are very helpfull and series that go along with those.

There is no series 1971 so I figure you meant 1981 or 1977.

Getting six such notes is highly unusual. Someone must have cashed them in and there could be some good value there.

Please give us some pics and more particulars so we can get a better idea. In the meantime hold onto them.

I looked on Amazon, and it looks like the 8th edition just came out... Am I correct in assuming that this edition will be just as good? ( I mean should I add it to my list of books to buy )

It starts with one piece of paper money from thialand, then it spreads.... Now I'm looking at every coin and bill that pases through my hands to see if it is interesting. Plus I have a list of books to buy about the coins ( and now paper money ) that I am buying...

This hobby is evil... I think it might be one of the levels of H*ll...

You're catching on real fast especially now that you've put paper on your plate.

Welcome to the land of empty wallets!
