Seriously I tell her about all purchases and if it fits in the budget it's good. Reckon that's one of the reasons I still love her and betting a lot of us "jokers" are in the same boat.

 

No, I wanted to keep it to $500 max with shipping so I bid $490, but in my posting the reply in this thread with shaky hand, I hit the 5 right near the dollar sign and it looked like I bid $560 above my winning bid, not $60 above my winning bid.

I was a little shaky after that fiasco, sorry.

 

I just kid...she " allows " me to have my hidin spot and does not really want to know what I spend as long as the mortgage is paid and it does not affect our family budget. She has her " girl" things as well, I don't really understand, but I know she likes it, so be it. I show her every coin I buy because I'm excited about them. She just rolls her eyes and says " yes dear, thats a nice penny"

We have " our" money as well.

 

I've done that once .. meant to bid 11.20 and forgot the decimal point... my hand shook a LOT after that one, vaing to retract the bid
