This Saturday the 7th. If it don't snow I'll take a ride up.
After that I'll head over to the Strasburg railroad.

It has a VERY high quality set of dealers. Used to be my home club. Now Harrisburg is.

Any suggestions for good casual dining in the area? Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine preferred.

The guys who live closer can make better recommendations, but the first place people usually suggest is Shady Maple. It's about 30 mins east, though, so depending on which direction you're travelling, it might be too far out of the way.

I *think* I've heard good things about "Good 'N Plenty" as well.

Here are some Google search results.

Here are the "Top 6" according to a local website.

They are predicting 3 to 6 inches of snow in the Lancaster area on Saturday. Just a heads up. But I still plan on being there.

NO CHARGE to get in. $50 to get in during the time when the dealers are setting up, which is when dealer to dealer deals get done.

Get your ancients fix or buy your first from CTer @John Anthony who, as I understand, will have a table set up. I've bought plenty from him in the past and give major kudos.

Thanks for the shout-out, Doug. Yeah, I'll be set up at the Red Rose Show on Saturday - JAZ Numismatics. Start your ancient coin collection today! :)

I'm only 25 minutes away from this! I may have to stop by and check it out. It'll be my first coin show.

Plus, my local "go-to" coin dealer will be there so I'll have to say hi.

I'm not really a fan of Shady Maple or Good-n-Plenty. If it's an all-you-can-eat type thing you need, Miller's is quite good (and expensive). Yoder's (in New Holland) is more reasonably priced but not exactly close by. There's a "new" buffet called Mary B's Kitchen which is with Fox's Den Pizza (in Intercourse) but I haven't tried it yet.

There are plenty of other restaurant choices around if you don't want a buffet.

But if you want the BEST donuts in the area, head over to Duck Donuts (on Fruitville Pike) and order a fresh made-to-order warm donut with the glaze/toppings of your choice. Oh so good.

Bird 'n Hand Bakery has some VERY good baked goods for breakfast!!! (and desert!)
