I think something that might help with your Photos, Remove the face of the airtite and don't magnify too photo. Use the cameras ability's, get as close as you can with out cutting part of the coin out of the image. All editing should be done post photo - cropping and magnifying.

I think your photos are well done, please don't take that the wrong way.

The Eagles tail feathers has me wondering, is that a weak strike @V. Kurt Bellman ?

  3. Thank you yeah I need to learn how to make clearer pictures and definitely need to get a way to make them clearer when magnifying. Thanks for the tips Ill try to post some better pics somewhere between tonight and tomorrow.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

P&G - I don't see much that says any kind of atypical strike to me.
Jesse - You n' me both. I'm a photo perfectionist and I haven't gotten there yet with coins.

Thanks, Kurt. I just don't collect or handle many of these coins to say what is die wear and what could have happened at the mint. The Tail feathers (center) looked overly smooth, but that could vary between each die. Still some cool looking die gouges.

  6. Yeah I use the Samasung Galaxy S6 with 16 megapixel which was their best camera on the galaxies but its still very difficult I usually use a loupe in the mix also but ill take 20 pictures sometimes before I can get one thats even close to decent. The pics turn out better if my batteries in the louoe are on as well. Heres about some of the closest pics I can get.

  7. If you look at the arroe on top it really looks like the head of an arrow. And I just find it very strange that the marks of the arrows would stop on a feather perfectly near the eagles chest.....
