Welcome to the Fourm...but would you mind editing your post to remove the A** word... We do not approve of profanity on this "Clean site" Thank you and Regards, RickieB
This may be a stupid question, but what part of the design are we looking at? Obverse or Reverse? How big is the area of interest? Odds are that you are seeing die chips or something equally worthless in cash terms.
Not sure how to take your four loud guys however Rickie is right we have a lot of YN here who read all post and I know they have heard those words befor. However there is no need for them to hear them here from us. THE OTHER BRUCE.
wow, friendly sort!!! not! as for the coin, i cant really tell what i am looking at. for the first time, i think the pic is a bit too close up lol. maybe a pic a bit further back.
Trust me, you'd rather have them do it than me. I would suggest that you follow their suggestions in the future posts you make
"Is this worth anything?$$$$$ 2007 Thomas Jefferson Dollar Error" It's worth $1. You can redeem your "error" token at your local bank and they will give a real dollar for it.
its kinda neat to find them - but no value is added to them you can find little extra metal or little cuds on most coins here and there if you find a large mistake or zooming in is not needed then it might be worth something
Jeff: I believe that it is not a struck thru, but a die chip. Granted it is in an unusual area, but still a die chip. As for value: normally, nominal. On ebay? priceless.
Hey Jeff you will get alot more cooperation from all of these knowledgeable folks here in Coin Talk without the attitude. Ask your question and have patients, they will respond. As for the coin you have every right to think it's worth zillions and that it's the ONLY error like it in history but 9.9 times out of 10 it's not, whether it has value or not it's unique and can be passed onto the next generation as Grandpa's " I've finally made it to easy street coin" and have a laugh about it. The feeling you had when you found this coin is the same feeling we've all had at onetime or another, enjoy the feeling because for that split second you had absolutely no worries and isn't that feeling great! Just my thoughts John
Wow ...you are one lucky guy. That is an amazing find. What you need to do now is join NGC for $99.00 and submit all of your special coins to them for authentication and grading. When they come back in their slabs, just put them on ebay with the same flashy language that you used in your original post and you should be able to sell them quickly. Folks on ebay love a good song and dance and lots of emoticons. Be sure to use lots of dollar signs and exclamation marks to add urgency to your listing. Best of luck to you. Depending on how many you found, (i didn't do the math), you might be able to break even...well, maybe not. Probably not. But you will have a fun time pretending that you found something valuable. Best of luck.
