Here's a stumper. Something is wrong with this 1995 note. You REALLY have to look at it to figure out what. I'll flat out tell you that it's on the reverse so go find it! Thinking Gatzdon will know the problem. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0035.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0036.jpg Good luck I have another picture when someone figures it out. clembo
Telling people it's on the reverse is misleading. You have to look at the obverse to realize that there is a problem with the reverse. Here's a hint, this error is the result of confusing the washington and fort worth facilities.
the number font for the 3 digit is not correct thathelps to differentiate between the fW washington facilites
Bada bing bada boom! Spock1k gets the gold star and happy face on this one but I don't have a gold star so here's the happy face! Here's a closeup of the mistake. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0037.jpg These are commonly known as Fort Worth 295 errors and considered an engraving error. As Spock1k pointed out the font is wrong. On a Fort Worth printed note the size should be 1.2 mm. These are 1.0 mm which is the size used on a note printed at the Washington D.C. facility. These are a lot scarcer than people might think. IF you see a 1995 $1 note in circulation check for this. I haven't seen one in years.
Jack, Get off the sauce (hot that is) and read the posts. You will be more paper smarter that way instead of stoopid ya know.
Lol, man, another thing to pull my hair out to look for! :headbang: Maybe I'll just keep all 96 notes I get, and just post them on here. Lol, nice note clembo. :thumb: Phoenix
