While it says only acceptable at CC, in Colorado all the casinos had their own coins minted, but they all fit in everyone elses machines. I assume Vegas is the same. Yours is a 1979 and in better shape would have collector value. I would put it in the video poker machine.
I'm gonna keep it more as a conversation piece. I don't have a lot of gaming tokens, $1 from Deadwood SD. 25 cent from Lady Luck in Davenport IA, and 25 cent from RIU Ocho Rios resort in Jamaica.
People collect them. Some value in ones where the casino is not in business anymore. Like anything, some are more "rare" or have higher demand than others.
