hi all,,, found this 59 in my pocket change,, just wonderin,, yall experts out there can give me a grade and some advice on this cent. pics dont do it justice ill tell yu ,, i love the color of this coin,,,,,, mny thx all of ya
It's a nice find for pocket change but I wouldn't say it is worth anything above face. I find them fairly frequently when roll searching.
Nice toning. There are a number of nice 59's in circulation. Not much value but if you like it, put it in a 2x2 and save it.
Some pretty colors going on there, mac. It’s scuffed-up a tad, but a keeper, my book. Hard to assess the grade. Low end, AU55, high end, MS63. This is a nice find in circulation you want to hang onto and admire.
thx to all you guys,,, still pretty new at coin collecting,, so ill be postin alot of pics and questions,,
Although this hobby literally is money, don't get too caught up in the "what's it worth" nonsense other than when necessary. If buying a coin, of course it's worth is important, but it shouldn't be the all the time everything many new folks make it out to be. If this is one's hobby, by definition it's supposed to be for pleasure, and there's little pleasure in worrying about what others will think, do, or pay. If you like a coin this is all that matters. Welcome to the forum, MacDaddy.
As the first memorial year, people saved large numbers of rolls. My late father in law saved a couple of rolls for each family member. Said " it will be worth BIG money some day ". Sound familiar even today.
