1996 p quarter die crack, is this a spitting eagle?

I found this lastnight in some change from the store.

Hard to tell, but looks like a die crack in my opinion. Pictures are a little blurry. May be damage.

 

Its a die crack,sorry about the pictures.I took a quick one going down the road.But it runs across the edge of the wing and into the N.

 

It looks like it is also on the back of the Eagles head also.

 

I'm going to take some better pictures when I get home. On the obverse there is a small crack coming off the bottom of the bust running towards the 1.and the bottom of the 1 is smashed flat.

 

It's not a spitting eagle ..

 

I know the 1984 spitting eagle,I thought that's what they called these when a die crack comes from the eagles beak.

 

It's caused from a die clash ( spitting eagle ) and can be found on any year .

 

So this die crack coming from this beak is not a spitting eagle? Because it's defiantly a die crack.

Great find. It looks like the crack goes all the way to the rim by the O in Dollar.
