As soon as I saw this Buffalo listed on eBay, I knew I had to add it to my heard. It's a well struck and very colorful 1913 Type 2 Buffalo in NGC MS-65. It's not in a fatty holder, so I have to overlook that part. But overall in hand this thing is a knockout!! It will be a very welcome addition to the herd.
Thanks guys.. I totally screwed the pooch on my spelling. I really need to stop posting when in the middle of the night when I'm that tired. I usually go back through and proof read, but I was just too excited last night. I've been out of town since Saturday and this has been waiting for me at the Post Office. I just couldn't wait any longer. LOL Are there any mods that can edit the title of this thread to fix my spelling mistake? It's really going to bother me as well as others. Please and thank you.. @ToughCOINS @desertgem @GDJMSP
In hand, the luster on the reverse makes the color look like the Buffalo is standing near a forest fire. The colors are just so intense and those reds, yellows and purples just pop.
Those D & S Type 2's are going to stay out of my reach for sometime.. Especially in 65!! But it is nice to have a nice 1913 Type 2 to go with my 1913 Type 1 Doily.
I just can't resist a beautiful Buffalo Nickel. For some reason when they tone a bright gold color, I become like Gollum and I have to have them... Here's a pic of me watching new listings of '38-D Buffalo's populate on eBay at 3:30 in the morning.... And then on the rare chance I get outbid.....
It's funny, I just snagged another 1913 T2 in 63. Not for the color but for a couple of other aesthetic reasons. Ones I will show after I receive it. If you just can't wait, do a search for recently ended 1913 T2 Buffalo Nickel's, if you know me, you won't have much trouble figuring out which one I just bought.
