On the bottom of the tube there should be a triangle with a number inside, that is the recycle number and indicates what it is made from. Numbers 2 and 5 are the numbers for the safest plastics and the structure to be rigid tubes. Numbers 1 and 4 are safe, but not the rigidity for tubes usually. 3 is PVC and probably safe in short term if it a rigid structure with no plasticizers. If it is rigid, most likely it is safe. You could do chemical tests on one, but I would use it also for storage. Jim
Jim, I see those older Anco ones with no recycling label quite a bit. Most are leftovers from the 1960's roll hoarding craze era.
