US Mint Announces Football HOF "Coin"

    Due to the success of the Baseball Hall of Fame coin, the US Mint announced they will begin producing football HOF coins. Principal Deputy Director of the US Mint, Rhett Jeppson, said production will be very limited. He also stated the design was inspired by an actual football. The coin will resemble a mini football, 1/9 the size of an actual NFL regulation size football. The football coin will be available in silver or clad and business or proof strikes.
