1971 Penny/Cent

    Plating didn’t start until 1982. Lighting is a bit weird and it might be messing with how the coin looks.

    Just Cent is fine.

    It's all copper not plated as mentioned
    Looks like Environmental Damage.

    Turned down the lighting. What causes it to look like a plating issue .Submitting another picture. S20180404_0007.jpg

    As I stated looks like Environmental Damage. But sometimes these Cents are plated after the Mint for novelty purposes. Or someone got bored and lightly spray painted it.

    environmental damage and then a rock tumbler. The first time my brother went metal detecting. He put his in a tumbler and that is what this looks like to me.
