This was from my last coin roll. I kept both because they were "pretty shiny" but I was bored and I believe I have a BIE (looks like B threw up on E) and a 1974 ODV-030 (from varietyvista.com)

It appears to be a BIE as you said as far as the 74 I'm not seeing it but that doesn't mean it isn't wait for others as you know. Lol

I was reading somewhere recently that the "74" has a thin date and thick date variety.

dont know about the '74 but the '60d small date is definitely a BIE...

    It's not the LDB4-1960D(SD)-010 4FH+.

    Yours is a 4F+.
Your die chip extends both above the highest level and below the lowest level of the letters.

No opinion on the '60 BIE...but went to VV and ODVs to compare and imho, I don't see the thickness. The VV pic shows a coin with thickness to the entire 9 and the lower leg of the 7, with the 1 and the 4 displaying no thickness.

Yours does not show these traits...Spark

Oh, I was comparing the shape of the chip and the 010 4FH+ was the closest. I also don't think mine extends above the letters, just the bottom. Thanks!

I did a screenshot of the image from variety vista page which I lined up with my coin. Isn't it the same?

JayF...you make a compelling argument. The comparison shows shadows that may disguise thickness analysis, but yes, they do look the same...Spark
