1871 Seated Dollar Grade

    VG10 for grade. Probably $200-$250, though I haven't sold one of these in a while...

    The amount of wear is c/w a vf20 I think. the pcgs photograde coin in this grade is an 1871 and looks very similar. There is something going on in the left obv field, either old cleaning, or some tape was removed. and there are significant rim hits on the rev. Given the problems I think CBD's value estimate is pretty close.

    I’m at F-15 I think some acetone might help this one too. At least it hasn’t been cleaned to death like so many seated dollars. But it’s had a hard life. I’m in agreement with C-B-D. $200-$250
