Thank you all for the kind remarks! The wife and a few friends had a nice time eating at one of our favorite restaurants and just hanging out and chatting.

I have to say, though, that I actually AM getting a phoenix done on my left arm! I've been planning this for a few years, though. Basically, my sleeves will have an elemental theme. The right arm is water/land and the left will be fire/sky. Each element has one animal representing that element. On my right arm, the bottom portion is a giant octopus, and the top is a tiger. The bottom of the left arm will be a phoenix, and the top portion will have cranes flying out of the flames of the phoenix. This is a sample of what I have done so far on the right (I actually have some shading done now, these were taken when the lines were finished):

Combine this with the fact that I have giant holes in my ears and can stick pencils through my nose, and you can see that I'm not your average numismatist! (BTW, these were taken when I was 19 or 20).

Haha, yeah, I'll be sure to post them. I'm going around shops tomorrow to find a new artist. My other arm I started in Boston, and then the artist up and moved to NYC :)rolling:), so now I gotta find an artist here in Denver that does nice Japanese work.

Nice spacers! I have been debating getting them for a while, they look really cool :) The nose thing kind of freaks me out though.
