Hi, I have a mysterious coin that I found at a local coin shop. After some research and examining the coin, it looks like a 1915(?) France 10 centimes coin that was stamped too hard. Why would a coin like this go into circulation, and how much is it worth?

    Thanks

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Josh, you appear to have successfully identified what I believe is one of the most gorgeous coin designs in history, the 10 centimes bronze of the late 19th century until 1921. It briefly circulated WITH a holed copper-nickel 10 centimes coin. The edge damage of yours was done intentionally by "spooning" in an attempt to make a ring.

It is a shame that someone did that. (Was) a beautiful coin.
