Gold Kennedy Half - Struck Through Grease?

    I got this gold Kennedy yesterday and couldn't believe how poor the details were. I believe it is probably the most heavily struck through grease half that I have ever seen. Do you think this would be worth sending off to get graded?

    I'm thinking it may grade MC64 at least

    Well... certainly some grease or oil was involved.

    That's really a cool coin IMO if it where mine I would send it in, but there again I'm new and dumb when it comes to money at least that's what the wife says. LOL

    Yeah, like cocoa butter, coconut or palm oil and maybe even some milk fat (aka cream) - depending on the quality of the planchet used. Probably some mineral oil as a die lube, too.
