ok i found a chunk of paint a while back and i could tell from the looks of it it had at least one coin inside of it not wanting to commit a sin and clean it i just left it in there however after reading post in here about cleaning methods people were using i gave it a try first some alcohol and that produced nothing next was some finger nail polish remover and the paint melted right off leaving a perfect rainbow toned 1936p the reverse has some spots that are dull posibly something soaked into the paint or something but overall it looks excellent i have no idea how long it was in the paint or anything

Hey cool. Its always better than not even knowing what type or what year or anything. But what do you know, it turned out to be a wheatie from the 30s. And now it has a story to go along with the coin. Those are my favorites to tell ya the truth.

Did OP say it was a wheat? I don't think the OP said what type it is.

first off the polish remover is a non-acetone type second it is a wheat 1936 and the rainbow tone turned out to be some paint residue there are some spots of something that the nail polish remover wont remove must be water
based or it would remove them sorry about the bad pics
