Here is my newest error acquisition! (MS64 PCGS).

Looks a heck of a lot nicer than a 64. Very, very sharp lettering on both sides. Planchet almost looks proof-like (I might resubmit for a regrade and for the possibility it could be a proof as surfaces are very reflective, and possibly deserving of full steps). About as close to full steps as you can possibly get (I say it is, of course!).

Maybe reflective because dime planchets are shinier than nickel planchets?

I might be wrong, but i don't think the san francisco mint struck business strike nickels in 1969, so that was struck with proof dies.

SF did make business strike nickels in 68, 69 and 70.
They also made proofs and the steps look proofey.
But, if this was part of a proof set, how does it get past QC?

I could stare at that for a while and never get board. Very cool and Perty!
