Multiple strike New York Quarter

  1. What's it worth? Struck about 6 or 7 times and rotated each strike.

Sorry but I'm not seeing any multiple strikes here, just environmental damage.

I still have to stand my ground on this. I do see what you see but this looks like a ground find and some of the metal has been eaten away by the contaminants it came into contact with.

That title got me really intrigued lol. How did you determine it was struck 6 or 7 times? I can't tell from the pic, which part shows that? I saw someone post a coin with triple strike (I think it was an MD) but not 6 or 7 times so I'm really curious.

  12. The west tip of the state can be seen imprinted 5 or 6 times above the final strike in a clockwise direction and once under the final strike. You can also tell where the discoloration begins is where the date was struck multiple times in a pattern leading up to the final strike. You can't see the date, but you can tell where it beat into the metal multiple times causing the exposure that resulted in the discoloration. Also on the eastern tip of the state you can see previous strikes down to the 6 o'clock position. I'll post more pics

  13. Here's some extra pics

All I see is a New York environmentaly damaged quarter. I think the stains on the coin are causing what you are seeing.

wouldn't one see 6 or 7 ghosted items of each and every object on the coin, not just one object ?

Also would the surface split from being stamped so many times?

I dk, I can't see any signs at all of multiple strikes. I think the consensus is most likely correct.
