    Hi CT,
I was looking at some feebay listings and I came across this seller who is stating that the mintage for the 1849's specifically with the "L" mark was only 1,000 coins. Is this true? I know the total mintage was actually 688,567, I looked up the coin in my Redbook but my book is old, 2009. And I've never seen information on how many actually received the "L" mark on Liberty's neck. Has anyone ever heard anything about the mintage for the "L" minted dollar coin? Is there a link you could send me to or is this just another seller deceiving to make a quick sale? Ridiculous asking price to boot!! I'm asking b/c I have one, it didn't grade high but that's ok with me! Any comments?

Wait, he is right, you read his listing wrong. You have the L coin, he has the No L coin.
