I have been asked by Mary, Johns wife, to pass on this link: https://weheartjohnlav.wordpress.com/2018/03/28/life-is-like-a-box-of-chocolates
Judging from my dad's experience, bypass surgery is no fun at all, and neither is the recovery -- but you do recover, with excellent odds. I'm glad he was able to get the attention he needed in time, and hope his recovery is fast.
John is a long time dealer who operates on the VAuctions platform and maintains a store on VCoins. His auction was set to close, but had his heart attack and its been delays a couple weeks. Mary is his wife.
Since John doesnt peruse the CT boards perhaps all can leave comments on the blog. It might help to cheer him up.
whowwwwwww, that is terrible....John is a really nice person...still got coins in his sale......well coins are not important in this case !!! I hope he recovers !! I was very much afraid reading the whole story to be honest, speak to you soon John, Gilbert
A heart attack and quadruple bypass is a very scary episode to go through. John has always been great to deal with and was kind enough to walk me through lots of newbie questions when I first started bidding in auctions. My thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
He has two stores: https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/moneta_numismatic_services-104/ancient-coins/Default.aspx? https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/moneta_numismatic_services_books-105/ancient-coins/Default.aspx?
I got the email saying his auction was extended due to a medical emergency but I did not know the circumstances. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
