I've picked up a few new coins lately. My local dealer and eBay have been very nice to me.

    First a couple of new 1938-D Buffalo's

    A 1913 T1 Buffalo in a semi collectable holder.

And my first classic commemorative. I've been wanting an Oregon Trail for quite sometime. This one just spoke to me.

Just in!! I bought this Cent as a Broadstruck error, raw on EBay. Our good friend and error specialist @paddyman98 was nice enough to submit it for me at a NY coin show. IMG_0571.JPG IMG_0572.JPG

    Here's a better shot, pre slab: IMG_0084.PNG IMG_0085.PNG
The multistrike is easily visible, especially on the reverse peripheral of the coin, where you can see all the letters that were struck, and then obliterated by a subsequent strike(s).

I love the 1891 O Morgan. Yes, it is struck well.

Loving that white background for your coins. May send you my entire Lincoln set for reimagining and placement on the white boards.

I haven't posted anything I've bought lately so decided to post a few things. I am curious if there is a way to date old money bags. This thing has been around the block more then a few times but I liked it.

I could use some opinions on what to do. I just got this 1940 Lincoln proof. It's got this old green label. (Really, it's green!)

But when I try to photograph it, the holder wreaks havoc with my pictures.

Should I break it out? Or is there someone so desirous of these old holders that there is a significant premium for the holder? If I were to break it out and it eventually regraded as a PR66, would that make up for the lost holder premium?

Reholder - if your right, a grade jump is an order of magnitude increase over a vintage holder premium...

I vote to leave it where it is.
