This one was really tough to photograph... the luster cartwheels on the obverse but the reverse is stunning. Came from a Whitman album.
Yeah they are up there in price. I have my eye on a PF65RB right now that is twice PCGS price guide but gorgeous. I'll be buried in it no doubt but I don't mind being buried in coins I'll never tire of and are in my collection to stay. Definitely have some thinking to do.
here's a find of mine an 1862 RPD and Odd the images don't do justice as they are taken with the scope that does not pick up the true color tone of this specimen. you'll notice that the date is an rpd and behinde the ear there is lines running at a slight angle . There is also a small die crack running from around 11K to the oak leaves the PUP on this 1862 ODD-001 Snow 8 P-8 copper nickel
